FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. -- Riverwalk Trust hosts the third annual Burger Battle™ on Friday, May 11, 2012 from 7 to 10 p.m. along Fort Lauderdale’s Riverwalk at Huizenga Plaza.
Chefs from 24 top restaurants will face off for this sizzling charity event, showcasing their creativity and grilling skills to over 1000 guests along the scenic New River in Downtown Fort Lauderdale, rain or shine!
Hot off the Griddle! BIG 105.9 FM's Doc Reno joins the Battle again as Master of Ceremonies.
The band Community Property will perform live, and Chef Allen Susser's French Fry Bar returns. The event is for guests 21 and older, and will bring together burger aficionados for an evening of gourmet burger creations, cocktails, beers and fun, while raising funds to support the Riverwalk Trust’s mission of building and nurturing a vibrant community connected by the New River. A chef-driven panel of Judges (including food bloggers and foodies) will confer the “Best Burger” award and bragging rights on 2012’s champion restaurant. Another eatery will be chosen as the “Fan Favorite” by Burger Battle™ guests. This year the judges will also recognize the Best ‘Burger Joint’ Burger, Best ‘Bar & Grill’ Burger, Best ‘Knife & Fork’ Burger and the ‘Burger Nirvana’ designation (a perfect score given by at least two judges).
