
A house fire broke out Saturday morning in the 2200 block of 23rd Lane in Fort Lauderdale. Firefighters arrived to find the bedroom heavily involved in fire. Firefighters searched for victims while they attacked the fire. They found 2 dogs inside the home. "Crews did an outstanding job of knocking down one bedroom that was heavily involved in fire", said Battalion Chief David Carter. "We removed two canines and valiant efforts by our firefighters were made to save them but unfortunately they expired".
Residents of the home are staying with relatives while Fire Investigators were on scene to determine the cause of the fire.
