Avoid Traffic and Get There Stress-Free by Land or Sea

FORT LAUDERDALE - Kick off the summer with the Great American Beach Party on Saturday, May 25 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Fort Lauderdale Beach at A1A and Las Olas Boulevard. This free event will transform a world famous stretch of Fort Lauderdale Beach into a dynamic entertainment mecca featuring music, live entertainment and fun activities for the entire family.

New for this year, the Great American Beach Party is offering shuttle service to the event by land or by sea! Avoid the traffic jams and the elusive hunt for a parking space on the beach. Instead, take advantage of the following transportation options and get there stress-free by land or by sea.

PARK AND RIDE DOWNTOWN
City Park Garage
150 S.E. 2nd Street . $5 flat rate parking

One River Plaza
305 S. Andrews Avenue . $5 flat rate parking

Sun Trolley Pick-Up
Picks up on S.E. 2nd Street between S.E. 1st Avenue and S.E. 2nd Avenue
Drops off on the beach at Las Olas Boulevard and Las Olas Circle
$1 per person each way
Trolley runs 8:00 a.m. to midnight.

Water Shuttle Pick-Up
Picks up at Las Olas Riverfront, 300 S.W. 1st Avenue
Drops off on beach at Las Olas Marina, 240 E. Las Olas Circle
Round Trip: Adults $10, Children $5 (ages 3-17)
Anticipation Yacht Charter departs on the hour and Water Taxi departs every 15 minutes from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

PARK AND RIDE GALLERIA
Galleria Mall Parking Garage
2414 E. Sunrise Boulevard . Parking is free.
Parking garage is located on the south side of the mall off N.E. 9th Street behind Dillard's.

Land Shuttle Pick-Up
Picks up on N.E. 9th Street at the southeast corner of the parking garage.
*Round Trip: Adults $10, Children $5 (ages 3-17) (*Galleria shuttle fares cash only please.)
Shuttles depart every 15 minutes from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

TRAFFIC ADVISORY
Residents and visitors should also be advised of the following traffic advisory affecting the surrounding area:
A1A will be closed from Las Olas Boulevard north to Castillo Street from 7 a.m. on Saturday, May 25 to 1 a.m. on Sunday, May 26.
Traffic that is traveling north on A1A will be diverted west onto Las Olas Boulevard, north on Birch Road, east on Bayshore Drive and then back north onto A1A.
Please note that Alhambra Street, Seville Street and Granada Street will be open to local traffic only.
Motorists should expect heavy traffic and delays from S.E. 17th Street north to Bayshore Drive.
LAS OLAS BOULEVARD BRIDGE REDUCED TO TWO LANES
Due to construction and rehabilitation work, traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction on the Las Olas Boulevard Bridge. Motorists are strongly advised to avoid using Las Olas Boulevard to access and exit Fort Lauderdale Beach. Instead, motorists should use Sunrise Boulevard or Oakland Park Boulevard. It is strongly recommended that Great American Beach Party attendees use the available land or water shuttle service to avoid heavy traffic and prolonged delays.
