MIRAMAR – The Complete Bollywood Experience, a film screening of Out of Print, the stage play Where's the Love?, and two beloved children's musicals, Freckleface Strawberry and Dorothy's Adventures in Oz, provide hours of entertainment this November at the Miramar Cultural Center.

First up is local playwright Damien McKnight's Where's the Love? on Saturday, November 2 at 7:30 p.m., a sadly too familiar and poignant tale of an athlete who has a shot at a pro career, only to find he's weighed down on his way to reaching his dream by the pressure of family and friends. As Drew prepares for the NBA draft, those he loves most, including the love of his life, feel they are being left behind. The neighborhood also looks to him to be its hero and an absentee father asks for a favor that could jeopardize everything for which Drew has worked so hard. Tickets are $25 and $20 for adults; $10 for children under 10; and free laps seats for children under age 2 are available only at the box office.

The third film of this season's Southern Circuit 2013-2014 Tour of Independent Filmmakers, Out of Print, will be screened on Thursday, November 7at 7:30 p.m. Narrated by multi-award winning film and stage star Meryl Streep, the film draws the audience into the skewed world of instant electronic communication and its effect on society. In her documentary, filmmaker Vivienne Roumani tackles the very real concerns of the modern book and publication industry. To some, the digital revolution is an extraordinary gift; others staunchly defend copyrights as essential to ensure that time and energy are committed to the written word.Roumani visits the libraries, book clubs, classrooms and corporate offices thrust into this modern battle and reveals that there is more at stake than how quickly and cheaply society can access the latest bestseller.  Presented by the Miramar Cultural Trust, this screening is free.
