FT. LAUDERDALE, FL – 2-1-1 Broward is proud to announce the finalists for the Third Annual PNC Bank Non-Profit Academy Awards Presented by 2-1-1 Broward & Hosted by Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.  In true Academy Awards style, the 2013 PNC Bank Non-Profit Academy Awards will celebrate the inspiring work of Broward's non-profit agencies and recognize the individual efforts of outstanding non-profit executive and board leaders.  Evoking the iconic symbols of the Academy Awards and its glitz and glamour -- including red carpet, search lights and golden statues, the awards ceremony and luncheon will take place on Friday, February 22, 2013 beginning at 12:00 p.m. at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, FL.

The finalists for the 2013 Awards were revealed on January 10th at an exclusive VIP Announcement Party presented by Broward Health at Passion Nightclub at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. In attendance were this year's PNC Bank  Non-Profit Academy Award event Co-Chairs: Laurie Sallarulo AVP, Client & Community Relations Manager at PNC Bank; Jen Klaassens, Vice President of Programs for The Wasie Foundation; and Susan Renneisen, Vice President of Community Affairs & Special Events for the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino; along with sponsors and award nominees.

Every non-profit is encouraged to attend the luncheon and awards ceremony and will be recognized for their contribution to our community.  Awards will be given in eight categories and all other nominees will be eligible for the Publix Community Choice award.  The 2013 PNC Bank Non-Profit Academy Awards Presented by 2-1-1 Broward & Hosted by Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino categories and nominees are:

The winners in each category will receive an Academy Award statue and $1000 for each of their non-profit organizations.  The other two finalists in each category will be awarded $500 each. Please note that the grants awarded for The Wasie Foundation Non-Profit Organization of the Year - Collaboration category will be divided equally among the collaborating organizations. All other non-profits nominated will be included in the Publix Community Choice Award, which will be decided by votes received from the community.  The community is encouraged to cast their vote for non-profit of their choice as they will be awarded $1,000.  More details are available online.

The 3rd Annual PNC Bank Non-Profit Academy Awards presented by 2-1-1 Broward and hosted by Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino (1 Seminole Way, Hollywood, FL) will begin on Friday, February 22nd with the Memorial Healthcare Systems Red Carpet Reception at 12:00 Noon, followed by the luncheon and awards ceremony at 1:00 p.m. and the Florida Advocates After Party at 2:30 p.m.  Ticket Prices are $75 per person for general admission, $65 for CLUB 2-1-1 Members, and $45 per person for non-profit staff/government representatives.  Tables of 10 are $750 and Table Sponsorships are $1000.  Tickets for the Florida Advocates After Party are $25 per person.  For more information about ticket purchase or sponsorship opportunities, please contact Christina Mendez at 954-640-5820 or cmendez@211-broward.org or tshuldiner@211-broward.org.
