FT. LAUDERDALE, FL – Footy's 14th Annual Wing Ding Golf Classic Presented by Badia Spices, Greenspoon Marder P.A., Publix Super Markets, and Comcast raised $50,000.00 for Here's Help, Inc. The annual charity event, hosted by renowned South Florida radio personality John "Footy" Kross, took place on Friday, May 3rd at the Pembroke Pines Golf & Racquet Club. Here's Help, Inc. is a nonprofit treatment agency providing residential programs, outpatient therapy (group, individual & family), and team-driven comprehensive community based care for people ages 13 years and older who have mental health and substance use disorders.

Local celebrities and business executives who joined Footy in teeing off for the day included NFL Hall of Fame Quarterback Dan Marino; Former Miami Heat Star Alonzo Mourning; Gerry Greenspoon, Managing Partner of Greenspoon Marder P.A.; Michael Marino (DJ 1TRE); Richard Booth, Vice President with Southern Wine & Spirits and Ignacio Mendez, President of Dynasty Apparel.

Footy is known for his deeply rooted commitment to community service and has been a presence on South Florida radio for over 35 years. He was a co-host on a locally produced South Florida morning show from 1974 to 2006, thus holding the record of longest Top 40 CHR DJ in North America.

Founded in 1968, Here's Help, Inc. has become one of Miami-Dade County's premiere providers of residential and outpatient substance abuse treatment, serving over 500 clients annually. Funded by local, state and federal contracts, Here's Help has excelled as a substance abuse treatment provider and is lauded by the Departments of Corrections, Department of Juvenile Justice, Department of Children and Families (DCF), and Probation and Parole for its treatment, educational and preventive services.
