FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – Business for the Arts of Broward has announced today the addition of Dev Motwani, Managing Partner of Chieftain Properties, and Peggy Nordeen, CEO of Starmark International, to its Board of Trustees.
Business for the Arts of Broward engages businesses and business leaders to advocate and educate about the importance of the County’s art and cultural community as well as to recognize the connection between cultural vitality, creative success, and economic development.

Dev Motwani is Managing Partner of Chieftain Properties, a Florida based real estate investment and development firm focused on purchasing distress commercial properties with significant redevelopment value. Dev also serves as Co-President and CFO of Merrimac Ventures where his responsibilities include overseeing the operations for the firm's real estate and hotel operations, handling all financings and legal aspects of the business, and overseeing the firm's development plans. Dev is also a partner with the Lauderdale Air Show, All American Windows and Doors, and Florida Aluminum Products.
As the CEO of integrated marketing agency Starmark, Peggy Nordeen presides over a robust roster of multi-national clients from her headquarter offices in Museum Plaza in Fort Lauderdale as well as offices in Orlando, Florida, and San Juan, Puerto Rico. Among Starmark’s local clients are the Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau, Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, Port Everglades, Cross Country Home Services, Broward Center for the Performing Arts, the Reunion Group and the Fort Lauderdale Museum of Art. A 34-year-old company, Starmark was the first privately held company to be named five times in a row to the Inc 500 ranking of fastest growing companies and only one of three companies in the U.S. to be on the list seven times. Additionally, Peggy authors the “Competitive Edge” column for the South Florida Business Journal.
