POMPANO BEACH, FL – The Greater Pompano Beach Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to announce that Dr. Brian Rask has been named Small Business Person of the Year. Dr. Rask has been involved with the Chamber for several years.
"Brian is always very generous with his time," said Chamber president Ric Green. "He worked very hard as co-chair of our 50th annual boat parade, among many other projects. His support for our chamber and community is amazing, and we are excited to honor him with this award."
Dr. Brian Rask is a Florida native. He grew up in Lighthouse Point and got his BS and DDS from the University of Florida, Gainesville. He returned to Broward County and worked for several years as an associate dentist before buying his own practice in Pompano Beach.
"Brian is a great example of a small business owner who has utilized his involvement in his community as way to effectively grow his business," boasts Jean McIntyre, 2012- 2013 Chair of the Pompano Beach Chamber of Commerce and Vice President with iBERIA BANK. "His participation through business and civic organizations has been an asset to all those with whom he is involved."
Dr. Rask is president-elect of the Pompano Beach Exchange Club service organization, co-chair of the Pompano Beach Holiday Boat Parade, Northeast Area Director for the Broward County Dental Association, Class Representative for the University of Florida College of Dentistry Academy of Alumni and Friends and founder of the James Suh Memorial Scholarship at Deerfield Beach High School. He is an active member of the American, Florida and Broward County Dental Associations, the Pankey Institute Alumni Foundation and the Pompano Beach and Lighthouse Point Chambers of Commerce.
Dr. Rask will be honored on May 31st at the Annual Broward County Council of Chamber's Small Business Person of the Year award luncheon at the Renaissance Plantation Hotel.
