PLANTATION, FL -- Imagine a world where tragedies like the Boston Marathon Bombings are averted through the thoughtful actions of the crowd. sci-Shot thinks that world is ours to make. sci-Shot's 'limited release' of its brand new and unique social movement app is available now for users who want to be part of a crowd that captures, organizes, and shares their street images and video with legitimate enterprises seeking eye-witness accounts.
And, just as important, sci-Shot provides a confidential system for the flow of communication between all stakeholders of public safety, as well as a streamlined tool for broadcasting public safety matters to the masses.
According to Broward Crime Stoppers Executive Director, Ralph Page, "sci-Shot provides another way for the community and Crime Stoppers to assist law enforcement in keeping our streets safe."
From the 'socially curious incident' to the illegal, hazardous or harmful conduct and events that we come across daily, users can become an integral part of securing our communities by sharing their eye-witness accounts with sci-Shot. sci-Shot also accepts photos and video of suspect or unusual conduct, the significance of which may be unknown at the time.
The photos and videos shared with this app will be accessible to subscribers that need information to support a legitimate, informal or formal investigation. Whether a casualty event, suspected criminal behavior, unlawful-non-criminal conduct or hazards, sci-Shot provides the subscriber with the user's real-time experience.
Subscribers will generally be law enforcement agencies, child welfare organizations, security professionals, event organizers, educational institutions, insurance and legal professionals – all of whom have a vested interested in keeping our communities safe and law-abiding.
App users will be rewarded for photos or videos purchased by subscribers through sci-Shot's Rewards Program. Users can earn $1.00 or more per photo or video downloaded by subscribers. Better yet, if a photo or video is used to solve a crime, the user may be eligible for additional reward money through participating Crime Stoppers partners, reports Ralph Page of Crime Stoppers.
The limited release in December is available for Droid users. The first 500 app downloaders who use or review sci-Shot will be awarded a $25 Amazon gift card for populating the sci-Shot Gallery with their eye-witness accounts. After testing the success of the database, the sci-Shot app will be launched nationwide.
Inaugural users may also be eligible for an additional $500 sci-Shot Reward if their eye-witness accounts are among the top 10 most downloaded.
