Hughes, CERP as the Director of Marketing and Sales Development. The announcement was made by Alan Eingold, owner of Over the Top.

Prior to joining Over the Top, Hughes served as Director of Special Events for 23 years at All Occasions Event Rental in Cincinnati where he produced corporate and personal events for executives at Procter & Gamble, Great American Insurance Company and General Electric. In the city that swings Ohio during presidential elections, Hughes produced the Cincinnati campaign fundraising events for George H. W. Bush, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, John McCain and Mitt Romney.

Hughes is nationally known and respected in the special event industry and has conducted seminars at various prominent industry conventions, including the American Rental Association (ARA), National Association of Catering Executives (NACE), International Special Events Society (ISES), and National Association of Wedding Planners (NAWP). He also helped create the Certified Event Rental Professional (CERP) for the American Rental Association, the only designation for the event rental industry.
Since opening its doors in 1989, Over the Top has become a growing asset to the event planning industry. In its 25,000 square foot warehouse, Over the Top handles all elements of its nationwide operations, including custom design, laundry and the distribution of nearly 1,000 rental linen selections.
