Dania Beach, FL – Charles S. Cohen, President/Owner of DCOTA, today announced that Michael C. Tyler has joined the Design Center of the Americas as Vice President of Construction. In his new position, Mr. Tyler will oversee all of DCOTA's construction and engineering projects at one of the world's largest design/office campuses with more than 800,000 square feet of interior design showrooms and Class A office space.
Mr. Tyler brings to DCOTA more than 25 years of experience in construction and engineering management on numerous national and international construction projects, including the Tampa International Airport; the Sirata Beach Resort & Conference Center in St. Petersburg, Florida; the International Design Center in Estero, Florida; Vivante and the Charlotte County Jail in Punta Gorda, Florida; a state-of-the-art silicon wafer manufacturing plant in Santa Clara, California; and the Little Haiti Cultural Campus and the Black Police Precinct & Courthouse Museum, both in Miami.
In his stellar career, Mr. Tyler has received two Excellence in Construction Awards from Associated Builders and Constructors, Inc., received two U.S. patents, and earned several awards for management from the City of Miami.
