Charles S. Cohen, President/Owner of DCOTA, today announced that the Design Center of the Americas is adding two new premier showrooms with globally iconic brands: Versace Home and Minotti. (Abitare is the authorized dealer for both brands.) With more than 800,000 square feet of interior design showrooms and Class A office space, DCOTA is one of the world's largest design/office campuses, located just minutes from the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.
Versace Home Showroom:
After opening its first U.S. showroom in the Miami Design District last year, Abitare-Versace is now relocating to DCOTA in Dania Beach. The Versace Home Collection is the natural extension of the creative universe of Gianni Versace: fashion, design, and a passion for all forms of arts (theater, dance, painting and sculpture). Everything is directly inspired from the distinctive Versace clothing collections, and a complete line of furniture, lighting, wall paper, flooring, accessories, textiles, fabrics and tableware, will soon be on display in the new DCOTA showroom. The market is the highest-end achievable; these are exclusive products, hand-made in Italy and never mass-produced. The Versace Home Collection was launched in 1994, and the company introduces new pieces of furniture, accessories and other much-sought collectibles every year.
"We are honored to become part of the creative universe of the late Gianni Versace by enhancing DCOTA's tenant mix with the only Versace Home showroom in the United States," said Mr. Cohen.
Minotti Showroom:
Another transplant from the Miami Design District, Minotti is universally considered to be one of today's finest Italian furniture brands, representing not only Minotti but also such sterling designers as Rimadesio, Gallotti & Radice, Foscarini, Pellizzoni and more. The Abitare-Minotti showroom will display a wide range of furniture pieces, lighting, textiles and accessories, coming from the dynamic personality and many-sided skills of owner Nicola Belletti and enriched by the family's long tradition as Italy's master designers of lovely and elegant furnishings.
"The new Abitare-Minotti showroom in DCOTA will include some of the finest Italian modern furniture brands in the world and will provide our showroom clients a unique blend of tradition, design and technology – Italian made at its best," added Mr. Cohen. "For two world-class design brands as Versace and Minotti to move from Miami to DCOTA is a major coup."
