SUNRISE, FL – South Florida’s premier specialty supermarket, Doris Italian Market & Bakery, recently teamed up with the Greater Sunrise Chamber of Commerce to host a Wine & Food Gala in support of American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life. One of the largest and most impactful organizations striving to end cancer, the evening’s attendees helped raise more than $1,600 for the nonprofit.

“Our Wine & Food Galas have always been a great opportunity to help raise money for a local nonprofit organization,” said John Alfano, president and CEO of Doris Italian Market & Bakery. “Partnering with the Sunrise Chamber of Commerce allowed us to elevate our influence and increase the money we raised. Cancer has unfortunately impacted so many of us. We are honored to do our part in supporting American Cancer Society’s mission to save millions of lives.”
Every year more than four million people globally raise funds and awareness to save lives from cancer by participating in Relay for Life events. The signature fundraiser for the American Cancer Society, each event is unique and special to its community.
