These awards honor the work of Broward County's non-profit organizations and leaders for their dedication and impact on the community. Applications are now available at www.211-broward.org.
The BankAtlantic Non-Profit Academy Awards presented by 2-1-1 Broward and hosted by Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino awards ceremony and luncheon will take place on Friday, February 24, 2012 at 11:30 a.m. at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood.
The Non-Profit Academy Awards acknowledge the highest level of achievement, innovation and quality in the non-profit sector.
The categories for the 2012 BankAtlantic Non-Profit Academy Awards presented by 2-1-1 Broward and hosted by Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino are as follows:
• Berger Singerman Outstanding Non-Profit Organization of the Year
• Patriot National Insurance Group, Inc. Non-Profit Organization of the Year – Innovation
• The Wasie Foundation Non-Profit Organization of the Year – Advocacy
• Non-Profit Organization of the Year – Rising Star
• Non-Profit Leader of the Year
• Non-Profit Board Leader of the Year
• Lifetime Achievement Award
The winners in each category will receive an Academy Award statue and $1000 for each of their non-profit organizations. The other two finalists in each category will be awarded $500 each. All other non-profits nominated will be included in the Community Choice Award, which will be decided by votes received from the community.
The nomination deadline is Wednesday, November 30, 2011. The three finalists for each category will be announced at an Announcement Party on Tuesday, January 24, 2012. The nominations and winners will be tallied by prominent CPA Firm, McGladrey.

Jen Klaassens, Vice President of Programs for Wasie Foundation and Marcia Barry-Smith, Executive Director of BankAtlantic Foundation, will serve as event co-chairs.
The BankAtlantic Non-Profit Academy Awards Presented by 2-1-1 Broward and Hosted by Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino (1 Seminole Way, Hollywood, FL) wil take place on Friday, February 24, 2012 with a reception beginning at 11:30 a.m., followed by a luncheon and an awards ceremony from 12:00 Noon to 1:30 p.m.
Ticket Prices are $70 per person for general admission, $60 per person for CLUB2-1-1 members and $45 per person for non-profit/government representatives. Sponsorship Opportunities ranging from $1,000 to $15,000 are still available. They include unique sponsorships such as Headline Entertainment Sponsor (1) - $15,000; Announcement Party Sponsor - $10,000; Award Naming Sponsor (4) - $7,500; VIP Reception Sponsor - $5,000; Red Carpet Reception Sponsor - $5,000, Golden Statue Sponsor (4) - $5,000.
