Geared toward elementary school-aged children, the event features a two-mile motorized Carriage Ride through the park that showcases spooky adventures along the route (see image). It's superb fun for all of the family, with some fascinating nuggets of Florida history and ecology in the mix.
The Adventure also features a Howling Hammock trail with live animal exhibitions, games and adventures, all in Halloween style. Wear costumes if you like -- the trail includes Trick or Treating stations for kids. For smaller tots, the Fort Lauderdale Garden Club has teamed up with Bonnet House to offer the gentle Pumpkin Patch autumn themed area. Children can make their own Halloween arts and crafts treasures, and have their photographs taken with the Ghost of Mr. Hugh Taylor Birch himself!
Tickets are available at the event, priced at $5 per child, $7 per adult, or $15 for a family of up to four people. Proceeds will help support the park's community programs. Free parking will be available at The Galleria mall's north side parking lot, near the Red Door Spa.
