POMPANO BEACH, FL - After six years, you would think that it would get easier to coordinate the annual Shining Stars Luncheon by the Greater Pompano Beach Chamber of Commerce, but coordinator Leila Moavero of Executive Print & Mailing says it’s very difficult.
“There are so many deserving people that we still have a list of people to consider for next year,” said Moavero, “and I am sure this year we will add even more to that list. Many of our honorees just quietly do their good works without shouting it from the roof tops.”
Each year lists are made of people in the Northeast Broward Community that give of themselves in ways that make them stand out and Moavero and her committee go through them all.
“I am honored to chair the chamber’s Shining Stars Awards Luncheon this year,” added Moavero. “We had an honoree informational breakfast (recently) and it reminded me why I continue to be involved with this fabulous event: I got to sit at a table with some really amazing people.”
On Tuesday, October 15, the 2013 Shining Stars will be honored in a luncheon at the new Marriott Pompano Beach Oceanfront, 1200 N. Ocean Blvd., Pompano. Lunch starts at noon. Tickets - $47. Call 954-941-2940 or purchase tickets online: www.pompanobeachchamber.com.
