2-1-1 Broward is proud to announce the finalists for the 5th Annual South Florida Community Care Network Non-Profit Academy Awards Hosted By Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino and Presented By 2-1-1 Broward. In true Academy Awards style,the 2015 South Florida Community Care Network Non-profit Academy Awardswill celebrate the inspiring work of Broward's non-profit agencies and recognize the individual efforts of outstanding non-profit executive and board leaders. Evoking the iconic symbols of the Academy Awards and its glitz and glamour -- including red carpet, searchlights and golden statues, the awards ceremony and luncheon will take place on Friday, February 13, 2015 beginning at 11:00 a.m. at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, FL.
The finalists for the 2015 Awards were revealed on January 15th at an exclusive Broward Health VIP Announcement Party on the Ocean Terrace at The Atlantic Hotel & Spa. In attendance were this year’s South Florida Community Care Network Non-profit Academy Awards Co-Chairs: Susan M. Mansolillo, Vice President, Human Resources and Communications at South Florida Community Care Network; Susan Renneisen, Vice President of Community Affairs and Special Events for the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino; and Jen Klaassens, Vice President of Programs for The Wasie Foundation; and 2-1-1 Broward Board Members, along with sponsors and award nominees.
Every non-profit is encouraged to attend the luncheon and awards ceremony and celebrate their contributions to our community. Attendees will also celebrate the accomplishments of the 2015 winners. Awards will be given in ten categories and all other nominees will be eligible for the Publix Community Choice award. The Publix Community Choice Award - All other non-profits nominated will be included in the Publix Community Choice Award, which will be decided by votes received from the community.
The winners in each category will receive an Academy Award statue and $1000 for each of their non-profit organizations. The other two finalists in each category will be awarded $500 each. Please note that the grants awarded for the The Wasie Foundation Non-Profit Organization of the Year – Collaboration category will be divided equally among the collaborating organizations by the leading agency. All other non-profits nominated will be included in the Publix Community Choice Award, which will be decided by votes received from the community. Organizations will also have an opportunity to win the new Heidi Schaeffer, M.D. Charitable Trust Child Abuse Prevention & Awareness Award. The 5th Annual South Florida Community Care Network Non-Profit Academy Awards Hosted By Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino And Presented By 2-1-1 Broward will begin on Friday, February 13th with the Memorial Healthcare Service Red Carpet & Wizard Creations Finalists Celebration at 11:00 a.m., followed by the luncheon and awards ceremony at 12:00 Noon, and then an “After Party” at 2:00 p.m. sponsored and hosted by SIROCCO Mediterranean Restaurant & Lounge, located in Paradise Seminole at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.
Ticket Prices are $75 per person for general admission, $65 for FPL CLUB 2-1-1 members, and $55 per person for non-profit staff/government representatives. After February 1, 2015, all tickets are $75 per person. Table Sponsorships begin at $1,500. Partnership Opportunities ranging from $1,500 to $10,000 are still available.
