The Footlighters, a benevolent South Florida organization of entertainers, will honor the legendary NEIL SEDAKA as "Entertainer of the Year" at noon on Thursday, February 12th at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida.

Neil will be honored with the Connie Francis Lifetime Achievement Award presented by star of film and television Connie Francis.
Neil, inducted into the Songwriter's Hall of Fame, is also a singer, composer, pianist and author. From his official bio, Neil's fifty year career ranges from being one of the first teen pop sensations of the 50's, a relevant songwriter for himself and other artists in the 60's, a superstar in the 70's, remaining a constant force in writing and performing to this day. This is all thanks to the countless songs he has written, performed, and produced which continue to inspire artists and audiences around the world.
Connie Francis, also a legendary recording artist, is a recent recipient of the prestigious Al Jolson Humanitarian Award which honored the work she has done throughout her life to promote music in the lives of all ages. Connie was named the #1 Female Vocalist early in her career by all the trade magazines for six consecutive years. A record never surpassed. She remains the most commercially successful female singer of all time with an estimated world-wide sales figure well in excess of two hundred million.
Master of Ceremonies will be comedian Freddie Roman, long term Dean of the Friars Club in Manhattan.
