FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – School is back in session as HANDY is ready to present its first-ever Schoolapalooza fundraiser on Saturday, September 19 at C&I Studios, 541 NW 1st Avenue, Fort Lauderdale. Guests of this hip, back-to-school chic affair will support HANDY’s core programming and “fill the closets” of students in need of back-to-school essentials.
“HANDY’s first-ever Schoolapalooza will raise funds and awareness of our core programming, which provides mentorship, tutoring, life skills and family style support for kids in need,” said Beth Bryant, director of development for HANDY. “We are honored to work with so many local businesses and community leaders who care about HANDY and the children we serve.”
Guests of this fun soiree will enjoy cocktails and hors d’oeuvres courtesy of popular Fort Lauderdale eateries, musical entertainment provided by DJ Axel and the chance to take home incredible prizes. While indulging, attendees will fill the closets of students in need of back-to-school essentials from “wish lists” of clothing, shoes and accessories created during a visit to Macy’s at The Galleria at Fort Lauderdale. Schoolapalooza attendees will be able to make contributions during the event to directly fulfill those lists.
The cocktail party will take place from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. at C&I Studios. General admission tickets are $65 in advance or $75 at the door. VIP tickets are $100 and include reserved parking, premium liquor and two raffle tickets. Tickets can be purchased now at www.HANDYinc.org or by calling (954) 446-0809.
