Congratulations to Bayview Elementary School music teacher Robert Todd on being named the Florida Music Educators Association’s (FMEA) 2015 Music Educator of the Year. The award recognizes teachers who make outstanding contributions to music education in their schools and throughout the state. Each year, the FMEA recognizes superior educators who go beyond traditional limits to promote quality music education.
“We're so proud of Mr. Todd for being the recipient of such a prominent award,” said Bayview Elementary Principal JoEllen Scott. “His passion for teaching music is evident in and out of the classroom. We couldn't be happier to announce this accolade for both our school and the District.”
Todd will receive the award in January 2015 during the FMEA Professional Development Conference in Tampa, where he will be honored and recognized for his dedication to music education. The conference is one of the largest music education professional development events in the nation. More than 8,000 people, including music directors and teachers, school administrators and students, attend each year.
