Fort Lauderdale, FL – The long-awaited 8th Annual Big Dog Men’s Invitational Golf Tournament, presented by BrightView, made a triumphant return to the beautifully renovated North Course at Fort Lauderdale Country Club in April. Event Chairs Cherie Marshall and Josh Renick, along with Honorary Chairs Wil Shriner and Dave LaMont of Big 105.9 and Tournament Founder Melody Saleh, hosted a great day of golf that raised over $80,000 for the Humane Society of Broward’s programs and services.
The format this year was a 4-Person Shamble, with over 100 players in attendance. On-course contests included Closest to the Line, Closest to the Pin, Paw the Dice, Chipping Contest, and a new Disc Golf Challenge. Players had a chance at each Par 3 hole to win a variety of prizes from our Hole in One sponsors including Club Car, Josh Renick - BNY Mellon, and Chad Scalf - Compass Realty. Participants could also purchase a prize drawing ticket for the chance to win their choice of four amazing trips. The lucky winner Alan Levinsohn will be packing his bags for Nashville!
DiSalvo’s Restaurant continued to support the tournament with an Italian spread for players to enjoy pre-shotgun while volunteers enjoyed a delicious lunch from Jimmy John’s. Players made the most of the beautiful weather and sampled custom cocktail creations from Best in Show Participants American Social, The Wilder, and Sip Java as well as Best in Brew Participants 3 Sons Brewing, Shiner Bock and Anheuser Busch Double Eagle. Congratulations to the winners chosen by popular vote – American Social and Shiner Bock. Additional beverages were provided by Brew Fish Bar & Grill, Red Bull and Chameleon Cold Brew Coffee.
