Reshefsky, who serves as Chairman of Century Risk Advisors, has launched the new agency with his son, Gary Reshefsky, Principal of the firm.

Ron Reshefsky is well-known in the insurance industry for the success of his previous company, Century Financial Services, which he founded in 1983. Under his leadership as President and CEO, the independent agency became the largest in Palm Beach County. In 1997, Century Financial Services was acquired by national insurance broker Summit Global Partners, which in 2004, was then acquired by USI Insurance Services, the 9th largest broker in the U.S. With Century Risk Advisors, Reshefsky has recreated the culture, environment, excitement, and success of his earlier insurance firm.
Ron Reshefsky began his career in 1972 as an underwriter with Travelers and then joined global insurance brokers Johnson & Higgins as a licensed insurance agent in 1975. He then founded Century Financial Services in 1983 and remained as Chairman and Business Executive of the company when it was acquired by Summit Global Partners in 1997 (subsequently acquired by USI Insurance Services). He departed USI in 2007 and then served as the Chairman of XN Holdings, a provider of insurance products to the worldwide expatriate community. In addition to currently serving as Chairman of Century Risk Advisors, he is currently on the Board of Directors of Ruth Rales Jewish Family Services and is a longtime supporter of Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County, Temple Beth El of Boca Raton and many other local organizations. He also served on the Board of Boca Raton First National Bank from 1986 to 1995, as a Director and Chairman. Reshefsky received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University
of Miami.
Gary Reshefsky, Principal at Century Risk Advisors, is involved in all facets of the company’s operations. He also leads Public Risk Advisors, a related risk management consulting firm that provides consulting services to public entities and other similar institutions. He began his career in Florida as a legislative counsel at the City of Miami in 2000 and then as an attorney with the law firm, Greenberg Traurig in Miami. In 2004, he joined USI Insurance Services as Director of Risk Management Services. From July 2010 to June 2011, he acted as the City of Miami’s Director of Risk Management, overseeing a $60 million risk management budget. Since 2005, he has served as Vice President and Finance Committee Member of the Miami Children’s Museum and has served on the University of Miami Citizens Board and the UM Law School Alumni Board of Directors where he chaired the 2009 Reunion Committee. He earned a BBA in Finance from George Washington University in 1996, and a JD and MBA from the University of Miami in 1999. He is a member of the Florida Bar and holds multiple insurance licenses.
