FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – Ingrid Rojas-Belandia, an Associate with Katz Barron Squitero Faust, has been named a member of the board of directors for the Venezuelan American National Bar Association (VENAMBAR). In this role, Ms. Rojas-Belandia will contribute to a variety of board activities which includes creating a bridge between Venezuelan, U.S. lawyers and the Venezuelan business community in the United States by serving as a platform for networking experiences and dialog among lawyers, bar associations, law students, members of the United States judiciary and academia. VENAMBAR actively supports the local community through pro bono legal assistance and civic outreach.
She will be added to the board of directors during VENAMBAR’s 2016 Board Installation and Cocktail Reception on July 14th. The Venezuelan American National Bar Association (VENAMBAR), a non-profit voluntary bar association established in 2013, is aimed at aligning and attending the needs of legal professionals in the United States with an interest in Venezuelan issues.

A native of Venezuela, Ms. Rojas-Belandia is a seasoned attorney in Katz Barron Squitero Faust’s Immigration Department. Her practice focuses on Immigration and Nationality Law and includes, among other matters, employment-based petitions and applications (e.g., E-2, L-1, H-1B, R-1, Labor Certification), family-based immigration cases, naturalization and consular processing. Prior to immigrating to the United States, Ms. Rojas-Belandia practiced business and corporate law in Venezuela, and also served in the capacity of General Manager of the condominium association of Administradora C.C.C.T., S.A., the largest commercial and professional building complex in Venezuela at the time. Her professional background abroad, as well as her personal experience in becoming a citizen of the United States, helps her to better understand and relate to the needs of foreign nationals.
Ms. Rojas-Belandia is also a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association and the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA). She earned her J.D. from Universidad Católica Andrés Bello, in Caracas, Venezuela, in 1990.
