FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla.  – NAIOP South Florida, a Commercial Real Estate Development Organization, presents Economic Outlook 2018, “Navigating the Trump Era: Trade, Taxes and Twitter,” on Thursday, January 25 from 7:30 to 9 a.m. at Fort Lauderdale Marriott North, 6650 N. Andrews Ave.

Moderated by Butters Realty & Management Senior Vice President and former journalist Darcie Lunsford, Economic Outlook 2018 will cover the local and regional impacts of the Trump administration’s initiatives during the president’s first year in office and what South Floridians can expect in the New Year.

“From cratering NAFTA and sparking a trade war with China to passing sweeping tax legislation, the Trump presidency has caused a massive shift in the status quo,” said NAIOP South Florida Executive Director Jules Morgan. “Modest wage increases, improved manufacturing regulation and stabilized housing markets raise the question of whether 2018 will continue the second longest economic expansion cycle in U.S. history or take a turn for the worse.”

Panelists include Holland & Knight’s Public Policy & Regulation Group Partner and former U.S. congressman Ronald J. Klein, Wells Fargo Securities Managing Director and Senior Economist Mark Vitner and Goodkin Consulting Principal Jack Winston, A.I.C.P., A.I.A.

Tickets are $65 for NAIOP members and $80 for non-members. To register for the event, visit www.naiopsfl.org/events. For more information, contact naiop.info@naiopsfl.org or call 954-990-5116.
