FORT LAUDERDALE, FL— Three generations of a popular local family of developers welcomed City of Fort Lauderdale Mayor Jack Seiler, Fort Lauderdale City Manager Lee Feldman, excited condo buyers, top real estate brokers and over 200 guests to a gala “Celebration on the River” cocktail reception on May 13 at the RIVA waterfront sales gallery.
RIVA is the new luxury condominium in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. on the Middle River, just north of Sunrise Blvd., launchedthis year by Premier Developers, a fourth generation firm founded by the Deckelbaum family of Broward County, Fla. Originally from Montreal, Canada, the Deckelbaum family is known locally for such successful condominiums as La Rive in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Renaissance on the Ocean in Hollywood, Fla. and Bellaria in the Town of Palm Beach, Fla. In addition to the centennial, the celebration also marked two important milestones since the public launch of RIVA in March:
• 25 percent of the residences are sold, and the sales program has moved from reservation to contract.
• Demolition has begun on the 2-acre Middle River site, clearing the way for the 18-month construction to begin in fall 2014.
Bradley Deckelbaum, the fourth generation family member to head the firm, noted, “As a family and as a developer, we are proud of the successful launch of RIVA, and grateful to all those who made it possible and came to celebrate with us. RIVA is now well underway as the most successful new condominium in Fort Lauderdale this year.”
Deckelbaum was joined at the celebration by his father Gordon and grandfather Moe, well-known South Florida developers who passed on the legacy. He also welcomed representatives from Audi, who will simultaneously build an elegant new Audi showroom next to RIVA’s entrance drive off N. Federal Highway.
Merging the laid-back Fort Lauderdale waterfront lifestyle with exquisitely designed residences, remarkably large panoramic terraces, and an extraordinary 40,000-square-foot private club, the elegant 15-story RIVA is designed with a distinctive Italian flair. RIVA will overlook the lush 20-acre George English Park and lagoon, and feature unobstructed views of the river, beaches and the ocean beyond; as well as sunset views.
