FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – NAIOP South Florida, a Commercial Real Estate Development Organization, will host the 2015 Commercial Real Estate Trade Show-Expo and high level panel discussion on Thursday, October 29 from 3 to 6:30 p.m. at Nova Southeastern University, 3301 College Ave. in Fort Lauderdale.
Highlighting the Expo will be a panel discussion of top executives from such leading industries in South Florida as aerospace, biotech, healthcare, logistics and higher education. NAIOP South Florida will explore how these industries have a positive impact on real estate here in Florida. The panel will be moderated by Andrew Ansin, vice president of Sunbeam Properties, developer of the Miramar Park of Commerce, the largest locally owned and managed Business Park in South Florida. The panel discussion is scheduled from 3 to 4 p.m. followed by the Expo from 4 to 6:30 p.m.
Panelists include CEO Michael King of AeroTurbine, Inc., CEO Craig Mygatt of Sealand and Senior Vice President H. Thomas Temple, M.D. of Translation Research and Economic Development at Nova Southeastern University. The discussion will focus on current trends driving their companies or organizations to South Florida, how much critical mass has been gained since the region began its decades-old pursuit of these large job-generating industries and which surprising new sectors are beginning to sizzle under the South Florida sun and which ones are in danger of burning out.
“This impressive list of panelists brings a unique perspective that addresses what South Florida must do to maintain and grow its emerging industry clusters,” said Ansin. “It’s a tremendous mix of industry leaders from aerospace, biotechnology, logistics and healthcare whose business outlook will ultimately shape the future of commercial real estate in South Florida.”
