FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – The fourth annual Tea in the Garden, presented by PAWS, an auxiliary of the Humane Society of Broward County, was held in late March at the spectacular home of Honorary Hostess Marti Huizenga and her husband Wayne.  Although raindrops fell, they did not keep away the 135 women from attending the event.
 
Event Chairs Holly Bodenweber, Jeannie Hudson and Jamie Stiles are delighted to announce over $35,000 was raised for the shelter.  Guests were able to enjoy champagne, La Capra wine, a delicious assortment of scones and tea sandwiches, and a vast assortment of teas while biding on fabulous items in the silent auction.  Barbi Brunton dressed models courtesy of Betty’s Model Group in one-of-a-kind hats which the guests were able to purchase with a portion of the proceeds donated to PAWS.
