FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – 2-1-1 Broward is pleased to announce the finalists for the 6th Annual South Florida Community Care Network Non-Profit Academy Awards hosted by Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino and presented by 2-1-1 Broward. In true Academy Awards style, the 6th Annual South Florida Community Care Network Non-Profit Academy Awards will celebrate the inspiring work of Broward County's non-profit agencies and recognize the individual efforts of outstanding non-profit executive and board leaders. Evoking the iconic symbols of the glitzy and glamorous Academy Awards, a red carpet, searchlights and golden statues will adorn the awards ceremony and luncheon taking place on Friday, February 26th at 11 a.m. at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.

The finalists for the 6th Annual Non-Profit Academy Awards were revealed on Thursday, January 14th at an exclusive Broward Health VIP Announcement Party at Bongos Cuban Café. In attendance were this year’s South Florida Community Care Network Non-Profit Academy Awards Co-Chairs: Susan M. Mansolillo, Vice President, Human Resources and Communications at South Florida Community Care Network; Susan Renneisen, Vice President of Community Affairs and Special Events for the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino; and Jen Klaassens, President at Jen Klaassens Consulting - Inspired Philanthropy™; and 2-1-1 Broward Board Members, along with sponsors and award nominees.

Every non-profit is encouraged to attend the luncheon and awards ceremony and celebrate their contributions to the community. Awards will be given in ten categories and all other nominees will be eligible for the Publix Community Choice Award. Publix Community Choice Award: All other non-profits nominated will be included in the Publix Community Choice Award, which will be decided by votes received from the community.

OK Generators Lifetime Achievement Award: Frank Sacco – Memorial Healthcare System

The winners in each category will receive an Academy Award statue and $1,000 for each of their organizations. The two finalists in each category will be awarded $500 each. Please note that the grants awarded for SunTrust Bank Non-Profit Organization of the Year – Collaboration category will be divided equally among the collaborating organizations by the leading agency. Those nominated but not selected as a finalist will be eligible to win a $1,000 grant for their organization. The Publix Community Choice Award will be decided by votes received from the community. Online voting for the Publix Community Choice Award is now open at www.211broward.org.

The 6th Annual South Florida Community Care Network Non-Profit Academy Awards hosted by Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino and presented by 2-1-1 Broward will be held Friday, February 26th with the Red Carpet & Finalists Celebration at 11 a.m., followed by the luncheon and awards ceremony at 12 noon. Ticket Prices are $85 per person for general admission, $75 for FPL CLUB 2-1-1 members, and $65 per person for non-profit staff/government representatives. After February 10th, all tickets are $85 per person. Finalists may reserve a table for $850 and other attendees may purchase a Table Sponsorship for $1,500. Partnership Opportunities ranging from $2,500 to $10,000 and $20,000 are still available.
