The City of Fort Lauderdale continues to work with Murphy Pipeline to install a new 42-inch sewer force main to upgrade infrastructure, create redundancy, enhance reliability, and improve services for our neighbors.
The next portion of sewer main will be installed on Bayview Drive, in Coral Ridge Country Club Estates. The work will be done using underground directional drilling, a process that will minimize impacts to streets, traffic, and neighbors, while helping to complete the project in less time.

During construction, Bayview Drive will be closed in both directions from 36 Street to 37 Street. Northbound Bayview will also be closed from Oakland Park Boulevard to NE 36 Street. These closures will go into effect Aug. 5 and last approximately two weeks.
Also beginning Aug. 5, southbound Bayview Drive will be closed to thru traffic between NE 37 Street and Commercial Boulevard. The directional drilling for this work is expected to take approximately eight weeks, through September 2020, and may be extended if any unforeseen conditions arise. See map for detour routes.
Work will take place Monday to Friday, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Local access will be maintained south of 36 Street and north of 37 Street on Bayview Drive. As the project progresses through the neighborhood, the contractor will work with neighbors to maintain access to individual properties.
Please follow posted signs and drive with caution in the area. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience and cooperation as we strive to
upgrade our sewer system as quickly as possible.
