The City of Fort Lauderdale is working with David Mancini & Sons, Inc. to repair the stormwater system. These repairs will take place in the right-of-way and parking lot to the west of Galt Ocean Drive, south of the intersection of NE 35th Street and Galt Ocean Drive. This project includes:
- Replacing approximately 350 feet of 36-inch stormwater pipeline
- Repairing associated structures
- Restoring asphalt as needed
Construction will begin the week of December 2, 2024, and is expected to be completed by January 2025. Work will take place Monday through Friday between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. Restoration will take place Monday through Friday, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. This schedule is subject to change based on inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
Traffic Impacts
The southbound lane of Galt Ocean Drive will be partially closed and traffic control personnel will direct traffic as needed to maintain access Please follow posted signs and drive with caution in the area.
