BROWARD COUNTY, FLA - AeroTurbine received a welcome from Broward County Commissioners today as they open their new headquarters in Miramar.

Broward Mayor Barbara Sharief presented the company's executive officers with a proclamation designating January 28 as "AeroTurbine Appreciation Day" in Broward County, Florida. "The new facility is approximately 264,000 square feet, employs approximately 150 people and AeroTurbine will be adding 75 more highly skilled workers at wages exceeding the average," said Mayor Sharief.

"It came down to Texas and Florida and with all of the unbelievable effort from Broward County, Miramar and the State, we couldn't be more thrilled to relocate our facility to Miramar. We'll have a footprint of over 200 employees by the end of year. So we continue to hire and our business continues to run," said AeroTurbine CEO Michael King.

The company received business incentives from Broward County, the State of Florida, the City of Miramar and job training incentives from Workforce One. In total the company received $918,000 in business assistance to relocate their headquarters from Miami to Broward County. A capital investment of more than $30 million is projected as a result of the move.

AeroTurbine is dedicated to providing quality used aircraft and engine products, including acquisition, maintenance, management, and warehousing. The company uses optimized networking systems to mobilize a team of internationally-focused experts in order to quickly locate, acquire, disassemble, and ship engine and aircraft components anywhere in the world.

The "Broward Means Business" initiative recognizes local businesses for their contribution to economic development and the community and the jobs, goods and services they provide locally and worldwide.
"Broward Means Business" recognition is given each Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the regularly scheduled Broward County Board of County Commissioners meeting, 115 S. Andrews Ave, Room 522, in Fort Lauderdale.
