FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – On Friday, May 30, more than 300 business and community leaders will follow the Broward Partnership down "The Yellow Brick Road" of its past, present and future at the 15th Annual Salute to Leadership Gala, honoring those who have had a significant role in its mission of reducing homelessness in the community. Guests are encouraged to wear jeans & jackets, yellow cocktail attire or dress as their favorite Wizard of Oz characters for a fun evening of dining, dancing and live entertainment at the Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina, 1881 SE 17th Street, Fort Lauderdale.
This year's event will celebrate the 15th anniversary of the opening of the Partnership's Huizenga Campus near downtown Fort Lauderdale, where it has served more than 20,000 homeless individuals and families to date and helped them back on the road to health, employment and housing. The Broward Partnership's first-ever Lifetime Achievement Award will also be presented in memory of Kevin T. Leonard, a founding board member and past board chairman.
