FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – 2-1-1 Broward hosted a fabulous FPL CLUB 2-1-1 Connecting Event for local business leaders and members of the community at Beauty & the Feast Bar | Kitchen on Tuesday, April 15th.  The engaging cocktail party was sponsored by Florida Power & Light (FPL), and the Event Ambassadors for the evening were Scott Brenner, Esq., of the Brenner Real Estate Group, and Michael Wild, Esq., of Wild Felice & Partners, PA. Jack Namer and Eye on South Florida crew were in attendance covering the event.

During the event, guests enjoyed an evening of networking and cocktails and a delicious array of hors d’oeuvres courtesy of Beauty & the Feast Bar | Kitchen located in The Atlantic Hotel & Spa on Ft. Lauderdale Beach. Lynne Wines, President and CEO of First Southern Bank, welcomed everyone and told the guests about all the amazing work and services that 2-1-1 Broward provides for our community. She then introduced Juliet Roulhac, a Senior Executive with FPL who talked about how important 2-1-1 Broward’s work is in Broward County and how proud FPL is to be the Title Sponsor of CLUB 2-1-1.  Jorge Hruschka, Chief Service Officer City of Fort Lauderdale Neighbor Volunteer Office, shared how a friend credits 2-1-1 Broward’s helpline with saving her from taking her own life along with expressing the importance of the agency to the community.

Michael Wild, Partner at Wild Felice & Partners, PA, then spoke about his personal experience of becoming a CLUB 2-1-1 member and his commitment to supporting 2-1-1 Broward.  Michael and Lynne also encouraged people to attend the upcoming “Making Real Connections Breakfast” event on Thursday, May 1st.

CLUB 2-1-1 was created to expand 2-1-1 Broward’s mission of “connecting” by offering exclusive networking opportunities for local professionals and individuals to meet at different venues throughout Broward County.  While connecting to others, CLUB 2-1-1 members also get acquainted with the work of 2-1-1 Broward and the ways in which the organization serves them and the entire community.  CLUB 2-1-1 also offers members an online source for marketing their business or interest to 2-1-1’s extensive list of email and social media subscribers. 

Monies raised through each membership, $211 per year, are used to help support the general operations of 2-1-1 Broward, the community’s only 24/7comprehensive helpline for individuals in our community seeking crisis intervention assistance, emotional support, information and referrals to health and human services in Broward County.   In addition to connecting with a unique group of professionals at each event, CLUB 2-1-1 is a great way for individuals to learn more about this valuable resource and how it can assist their employees, families and friends.  To learn more about CLUB 2-1-1 or 2-1-1 Broward, please visit www.211-broward.org or call Tracy Schuldiner at 954-640-5822.
