MIAMI - The Susan G. Komen Miami/Fort Lauderdale Affiliate will be hosting its Inaugural Pink-o de Mayo Celebrity Bowling event on Sunday, May 4 at SpareZ in Davie, FL.  The event is open to local businesses and community supporters looking to give back to their local community during a fun afternoon or bowling, food, and entertainment. Funds raised at the event will benefit the Susan G. Komen Miami/Ft. Lauderdale Affiliate in its efforts to fund breast cancer education, awareness and research.

Sponsorships begin at $500, with Team options starting at $300 or $75 per person. A sponsored lane will include four bowlers plus one celebrity and a team lane will include five bowlers. Local bowling leagues are encouraged to participate as awards will be given to the top bowlers. Individuals who do not belong to a team can also participate for $75. All entry fees and sponsorship fees include the following:

•          two hours of bowling
•          an event T-shirt (for each bowler)
•          bowling shoe rental (for each bowler)
•          pizza and soda (for each bowler)

Just like Race for the Cure®, there are also options for those who cannot attend or actively participate but still would like to support. A “Phantom Bowler” may still register and receive a t-shirt with a $25 donation. Spectators are also welcome for a $10 donation, which includes the opportunity for a celebrity autograph.
