FORT LAUDERDALE, Fl – Young professionals will gather for the chance to relive high school memories during the first-ever “Prom Night” presented by NextGen 4 HANDY on Saturday, May 14 at 7 p.m. The throwback fundraiser, which will support HANDY’s mission to embrace, educate and empower vulnerable youth to become engaged and productive adults, will feature dancing, live entertainment and even a prom court, but will add into the mix adult beverages for this 21 and up event.
“We are thrilled to have the opportunity to work with such a dynamic group of young professionals who care about making a positive impact in the community,” said Beth Bryant, director of development for HANDY. “There is already a great buzz about our first-time prom event, making this an ideal platform to generate funds and awareness for the individuals that HANDY serves.”
Eighteen up-and-coming business and community leaders have been selected as part of the 2016 Prom Court. These individuals will compete to raise funds in an effort to be crowned the Prom King and Queen. Candidates include:

This fundraiser, presented by NextGen 4 HANDY, a group of young professionals who value giving back to the community by helping the disadvantaged youth served by HANDY, will take place at the Premier Aircraft Sales Hangar at Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport, located at 6000 NW 21 Avenue in Fort Lauderdale. Tickets are on sale now at Blacktie South Florida for $65 per person or $100 per couple.
