FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – Employees at the Fort Lauderdale headquarters of leading home-based travel agencies CruiseOne® and Cruises Inc.®, which are part of World Travel Holdings — the world’s largest cruise agency and award-winning leisure travel company, recently raised more than $1,900 for Make-A-Wish® during its annual Gift Basket Fundraiser.

“The Make-A-Wish Gift Basket fundraiser is one of the most popular and highly anticipated fundraising activities we host each year,” said Debbie Fiorino, senior vice president of CruiseOne and Cruises Inc. “I love seeing the creativity of each team and everybody coming together for a common cause.”

Each department created a themed gift basket valued at $100 and employees purchased tickets for $1 each. This year’s gift baskets included Ooey Gooey S’Mores Fire Pit Basket, Bonus Basket including a free day off and gift cards to enjoy on the day off, Tequila Sunrise, Pie Smack Down to throw pie at the Marketing and PR teams, Sports Fan Basket with tickets to a Florida Panthers hockey game, Holiday Party Hotel Stay and water taxi tickets, Trader Joes Snack Basket, Weekend in Wine Country with wine and accompanying accoutrements and Game Day Tailgate Toolkit.

Make-A-Wish has been the signature charity of World Travel Holdings for the last five years, and since the partnership began the company has raised more than $500,000 to help grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions.
