Pert, Australia—Last Saturday, Amanda Clark and LYC's Sarah Lihan punched their tickets to Weymouth, England for the 2012 Olympics.They were in Australia, competing in the International Sailing Federation (ISAF) Combined World Championships. By finishing three places ahead of fellow USTAG members Erin Maxwell and Isabella Farrar Kinsloving, they won the U. S. Sailing qualification process, and will represent the USA next summer. Sarah will be back in Florida in a few days. If you see her around LYC, be sure to congratulate her on a job well done. We will have a second posting once they have time to post a report.

FISHING RULES:
1. Eligible Billfish: Sailfish, White Marlin, and Blue Marlin. 100 points each
2. Boundaries: NONE – Any Port in Palm Beach, Broward, Dade, Monroe Counties.
3. TEXT Check Out: All vessels must check out by TEXTing your boat name to 954-288-6331 (Dr Eric Stelnicki's cell phone).
4. TEXT Reporting: Each "Caught fish" is to reported by TEXTing the anglers name to 954-288-6331. Do NOT report "Hook Ups". Standings will be announced (periodically) at the top of the hour on Channel 72 VHF.
5. Maximum number of six (6) lines in the water at any time
6. Fishing with live bait as well as with kites is permitted.
7. Proof of Catch: Every billfish released must be confirmed with corresponding video or digital photography. It is the responsibility of each team to provide their own video or digital cameras to record their releases.
8. Anglers must bring a completed Release Cards, and proof of catch to the club no later than 7 p.m. to qualify. In the event that one or more anglers are tied on the number of points, then the earliest time of the billfish catch, as reported via text.
9. All fish submitted for scoring in this Tournament must be caught by entered anglers only in compliance with all applicable Federal and State laws.
10. All boats are required to have a Highly Migratory Species Permit (HMSP). (Permits can be obtained through the NMFS at 888-872-8862 or www.nmfspermits.com).
11. WEATHER: The Tournament committee, at its sole discretion, may cancel fishing and declare that all or part of the Tournament is "weathered out" until better conditions prevail.
