MIRAMAR, Fl – According to Enterprise Florida Inc., Florida manufacturers are a powerful economic engine for the state's economy. Now the state has added one more with the relocation of SIMTEC Silicone Parts, LLC from Madison, Wis. to the Miramar Park of Commerce.

SIMTEC Silicone Parts, LLC, a world leader in the production of customized Liquid Silicone Rubber (LSR) and LSR 2-Shot (LSR/Thermoplastic) injection molded parts and components, has moved its manufacturing facility to 47,870 square feet of space in MPC-27 at 9658 Premier Parkway in the Miramar Park of Commerce.

"Since 2002, we have experienced steady growth, which led to multiple expansions into several buildings in the same industrial park in Madison," said CEO Enrique Camacho. "While these expansions temporarily allowed us to add additional capacity and new business, we knew that we would soon need larger space and that ideally we wanted to have our headquarters and production facilities located all under one roof. Given our business model and our global client base, logistics also were extremely important, which led us to the Miramar Park of Commerce. The Park's proximity to the ports and international airports are added value for our customers and for the company."

A research and technology driven, custom manufacturer, SIMTEC is an environmentally responsible company that delivers high precision, high-volume, top-quality solutions to customers throughout the U.S., Canada, Central America, Europe and Asia. SIMTEC is one of the first companies outside of Europe, where Liquid Silicone Rubber technology was pioneered, that is currently manufacturing LSR 2-Shot applications employing the first production units of their kind in the world.

"The market for distribution space is hot right now," said Maridee Bell, Vice President of Sunbeam Properties, developer of the Park. "We continue to see movement, particularly from Dade County, as well as from out of the area with companies like SIMTEC. At the Park, we have the flexibility to meet their needs quickly and efficiently."

Bell represented the Miramar Park of Commerce in the transaction. Representing SIMTEC was Jonathan Kingsley of Jones Lang LaSalle.

"The tireless efforts and expertise of the team were paramount in our decision to relocate the company to a built-to-suit, global class, state-of-the-art facility," adds Camacho. "The growing city of Miramar and the Miramar Park of Commerce with its highly experienced contractors had everything we were looking for and more."
