FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – June 1, 2012 - Since its inception 17 years ago, the AT&T JEB BUSH Florida Classic Sponsored by The Wasie Foundation and Presented by Ford and Premier Beverage has netted more than $5.6 million, helping to fund the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s cutting-edge research and top-quality care for cystic fibrosis patients.

This exciting three-day event, which includes a Fishing Tournament, the chic BeachBash, 65 Roses Gala and a Golf Tournament, is one of the largest fundraisers for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s South Florida office.   This year’s festivities kick off on October 30, 2012 and will run through November 2, 2012.
 
Former Florida Governor Jeb Bush will once again serve as Honorary Chairman of the event. He first became involved in the benefit after meeting with committee member Lawson Dutton, whose child suffered from cystic fibrosis.
 
All events will be held at the Hyatt Regency Pier Sixty Six, except for the golf tournament, which will take place at the Fort Lauderdale Country Club.  The schedule of events is as follows:
 
-          Tuesday, October 30 @ 6 pm: Angler Welcome Party
-          Thursday, November 1 @ 8 am:  Fishing Tournament
-          Thursday, November 1 @ 7:30 pm: BeachBash
-          Friday, November 2 @ 7:30 am: Golf Tournament
-          Friday, November 2 @ 6:30 pm: 65 Roses Gala
